How does the AI cluster open-text answers?

AI Topics reads every open-text answer in a survey and groups them into named topics - autonomy, leadership or workload, for example. For each topic the AI also rates the sentiment. If an answer touches on several topics, it is split and each topic gets the passage that belongs to it - only that passage is quoted, not the whole answer.

Do I have to start the analysis myself?

No. The topic analysis starts automatically as soon as the survey closes. The results are in the dashboard the first time you open it.

Does this work for a multilingual workforce?

Yes. The clustering works across languages: answers in different languages about the same thing land in the same topic instead of separate clusters. Surveys and the interface are available in 40 languages - see enterprise features.

Does the AI make decisions of its own?

No. The AI analyzes and suggests, people decide. A suggestion only becomes a measure once a person selects it, adjusts it and starts it - the dialog itself points out that the recommendations are inspiration. The AI changes neither survey results nor settings on its own.

What happens to the open-text answers when the AI analyzes them?

Personal data in open-text answers - names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses and customer numbers - is detected and masked automatically by the platform, and additional manual masking is available in review.
