Question #1. “This employee recognizes and acknowledges good work from team members.”

💡Insights it gives: allows you to evaluate how effectively the employee acknowledges the contributions and work of other team members. Recognizing peers’ efforts boosts performance by 35.7% more than when managers do it. Plus, it brings other perks like higher engagement and motivation, better teamwork and relationships among colleagues, and less turnover.

Question #2: “This employee treats team members with respect.”

💡Insights it gives: details about the employee’s interpersonal skills and their interactions with the team. Respect ranks among the top three factors employees seek when exploring new opportunities. Colleagues who feel mistreated often put in less effort and are more likely to leave the organization.

Question #3: “How open is this employee toward new ideas?”**

💡Insights it gives: helps evaluate the employees’ openness to innovation and adaptability. Employees who are open to new ideas are better at exploiting arising opportunities. And that’s essential to maintain a competitive edge. They’re also easier to manage, especially when the organization is undergoing a period of organizational change.

Question #4: “This employee can admit mistakes they made.”

💡Insights it gives: checks how accountable and humble the employee is. Being able and willing to admit when you’ve made a mistake is key to professional growth. If you don’t own up to your slip-ups and think about what went wrong, it’s tough to get better and not repeat the same errors. That’s not exactly helpful for team productivity or morale.

Question #5: “How likely would you hire this employee if you were to build your own company?”

💡Insights it gives: The NPS-style question gives you a sense of how valuable and promising the employee is. Willingness to hire someone in your own company speaks volumes about their worth and contributions to the organization.
